چکیده
This study was performed to analyze the spray, combustion, and air pollutant characteristic of JP-5 fuel for naval aircraft in a spray visualization system single-cylinder CRDI diesel engine that can be visualized. The analysis results were compared with DF. tip penetration showed diminished as developed. had highest ROHR ROPR regardless injection timings. physicochemical characteristics JP-5, such its excellent vaporization low cetane number, analyzed prolong ignition delay. Overall, longer combustion period lower heat loss DF raised torque IMEP. higher O2 CO2 levels than fuel. CO emission level increased timing advanced two test fuels, emitted from fuel, which has turned out lower. NOx also reduced retarded, but it discharged at due large release. images process flame luminosity is stronger, delay shorter, JP-5.

Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of OM314 Diesel Engine Combustion and Performance Characteristics Fueled with DME
Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) combustion is a pioneer method of combustion in which pre-mixed fuel and oxidizer (typically air) are compressed to the point of auto-ignition. HCCI engines can operate with most alternative fuels, especially, dimethyl ether (DME) which has been tested as a possible diesel fuel due to its simultaneously low NOx and PM emissions. In this paper a ...

The design and development of modern internal combustion engines are marked by a reduction in exhaust gas emissions and increase in specific power and torque. Correspondingly, combustion noise excitation and fuel consumption also have to be reduced. These objectives can be achieved through the development of advanced combustion systems, the increased flexibility of fuel injection systems and EC...
متن کاملEmission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine fueled with Diesel-biodiesel-JP-4 Blends
The main objective of this research is to study the effects of JP-4-biodiesel-diesel fuel blends and operating parameters on the emission characteristics of a CI engine. The experimental tests were performed on a four-cylinder DI diesel engine. The Mixture-RSM method was used to develop mathematical models based on experimental data. The results showed that with the increase of the biodiesel pr...
متن کاملEmission Reduction Strategies for Small Single Cylinder Diesel Engine Using Valve Timing and Swirl Ratio
Small diesel engines are widely used for commercial vehicle and passenger car applications due to their higher torque requirements, fuel economy, and better thermal efficiency. These engines are exposed to different operating and environmental conditions and hence emissions from these engines are erratic. Strategies are required to enhance performance and reduce engine-out emissions considering...
متن کاملRotating injector in DI diesel engine for improving performance and reducing NOx emission
Oxides of Nitrogen are the major emission from a diesel engine. It is due to heterogeneous diffusion combustion system with fuel-rich regions, which produce high local temperature around the periphery of the spray where high formation rate of NO is promoted. Various techniques are therefore employed to reduce the NOX emission like EGR, SCR, etc. In this present work a rotating injector is a tec...
